The world of Avalon isn’t a place of noble heroes and glorious adventures. It’s a land consumed by the Wyrdness, where every journey leads through cursed forests, ruined settlements, and creatures twisted by an ancient force. Every expedition into the darkness is another chance to uncover powerful cards, survive impossible encounters, and push a little further into a kingdom that’s slowly falling apart.

Tainted Grail: Conquest is a dark fantasy roguelike deckbuilder inspired by Arthurian legend. Each run sends you across a procedurally generated map where you’ll battle enemies in turn-based card combat, discover new cards and passive skills, collect equipment, and make choices that shape your journey. Between expeditions, you’ll return to your village to unlock new classes, permanent upgrades, and additional content for future runs.

What Makes It Different?

  • Explore a procedurally generated version of the cursed island of Avalon
  • Build unique decks from hundreds of cards across multiple character classes
  • Discover passive skills, equipment, and relics throughout each run
  • Return to your village to unlock permanent upgrades and new content
  • Encounter story events, quests, merchants, and branching choices
  • Battle enemies in turn-based card combat inspired by Arthurian dark fantasy
  • Unlock additional classes with their own cards and playstyles

Every Expedition Expands Your Options

Each journey begins with a basic deck, but it doesn’t stay that way for long. New cards, equipment, and passive abilities become available throughout a run, allowing your strategy to gradually evolve as you travel deeper into Avalon.

The route you choose matters just as much as the cards you collect. Story events, quests, merchants, and combat encounters all compete for your attention, making every expedition feel slightly different from the last.

A Village That Grows With You

Progress doesn’t end when a run does. Returning to your village allows you to unlock permanent improvements, additional character classes, and new opportunities that carry into future expeditions.

That long-term progression gives every run a purpose, whether you’ve completed a successful expedition or simply gathered enough resources to strengthen the next one.

A Dark Take on Arthurian Legend

Rather than retelling familiar legends, Tainted Grail: Conquest explores a version of Avalon consumed by the supernatural Wyrdness. The world is filled with unsettling creatures, mysterious characters, and locations that gradually reveal more about the kingdom’s decline as you continue playing.

The result is a roguelike deckbuilder where the setting is just as important as the combat, encouraging you to keep exploring to see what waits beyond the next encounter.

How Long Does a Run Take?

A successful run in Tainted Grail: Conquest typically lasts 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. Players who spend more time exploring, completing side quests, reading the game’s lore, or playing on higher difficulties can expect some runs to stretch to 2 to 3 hours.

Controller Support

Tainted Grail: Conquest features Full Controller Support for:
