bit Dungeon
You and your wife were captured by demons, sealed away in a dungeon for a thousand years of sleep. Waking up alone in a cell, weapon in hand, the only path forward is deeper into the dungeon, hunting for whatever answers, and whoever you love, might still be waiting somewhere below.
bit Dungeon is a fast paced action roguelike from developer Kinto Games. Hacking and slashing your way through randomized dungeons, you’ll collect randomized loot, take down dangerous bosses, and build your character around a set of deadly passive abilities as the difficulty climbs alongside your own growing strength.
What Makes It Different?
- Explore randomized dungeons that change with every attempt
- Collect randomized loot to gear up as you descend
- Hack and slash through fast, arcade style action combat
- Build your character freely using deadly passive abilities
- Face escalating difficulty that scales as you grow stronger
- Risk everything to permadeath, where death strips you of all items
- Includes bonus content originally released only on mobile, including new armor sets, monsters, a dungeon, and a boss
Nothing Is Safe From Permadeath
bit Dungeon doesn’t ease up on failure. Dying strips you of every item you’ve collected and sends you back to the beginning, forcing a fresh start rather than a gentle setback. That risk shapes every decision made along the way, since pushing too far into a dungeon without the gear to back it up can undo an entire run in a single mistake. There is a small mercy built in, though. Reaching Level 4 grants a Soul after defeating a boss instead of the usual magic reward, and holding onto that Soul gives you a second chance the next time death comes calling.
Grow Stronger, Face Worse
As your character grows in strength, so does everything standing in your way. The dungeon’s difficulty climbs alongside your own progress, meaning the tools and passive abilities you choose to build around matter just as much in the later stretches of a run as they do at the very start. Freely shaping your build around deadly passives gives every playthrough its own identity, and finding a combination that keeps pace with the rising danger is central to making it to the dungeon’s depths.
How Long Does a Run Take?
A typical successful run in bit Dungeon takes anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending entirely on your combat speed, how much you stop to grind for loot, and your success at avoiding death. A full, uninterrupted run to clear all levels and defeat the final boss usually averages about 1.5 to 2 hours, while experienced players can rush through a win in roughly 30 to 45 minutes. Because the game relies on permadeath, dying resets your progress to the very beginning, forcing you to restart your run from scratch.

Good If You Like…
The Swords of Ditto: Mormo’s Curse, Debugging Hero, Dungreed, and Sephiria sit in similar territory. bit Dungeon holds its own alongside them with punishing permadeath, randomized loot runs, and fast, hack and slash combat that rewards knowing when to push forward and when to hold back.
