Reality and the spirit world have become one, and the Kingdom of Midra is paying the price. As the Ghost of the Prince, the only way to reclaim your home from the armies of Chaos is to step inside the bodies of the very enemies trying to stop you.
Rogue Spirit is a 3D rogue-lite action game with light stealth elements from developer Kids With Sticks. Possessing enemy characters and absorbing their unique combat skills, you’ll master different playstyles on the fly, explore the Kingdom of Midra’s legends and lore, and fight through procedurally generated levels to free your land from the evil presence corrupting it.

Become Your Enemy to Beat Them
The core of Rogue Spirit’s combat comes down to possession. Rather than sticking with one fixed set of abilities, defeating and possessing enemies lets you absorb their combat features on the spot, adapting your playstyle to whatever the current fight demands. Mastering multiple characters’ strengths and weaknesses becomes essential, since the right body at the right moment can turn a losing fight into a winning one.
A Kingdom Worth Saving, One Run at a Time
Every trip through Midra’s procedurally generated levels offers a slightly different mix of enemies, essences, and skills to work with, spread across 5 distinct biomes packed with secrets and lore. Permanent upgrades unlocked between runs carry that progress forward, so even a failed attempt leaves the next one a little stronger heading back into a kingdom still worth fighting for.
How Long Does a Run Take?
An average successful run takes about 45 to 60 minutes to complete. However, because it’s a roguelite, an average overall run is usually shorter, around 15 to 30 minutes, since dying frequently in early areas while unlocking permanent upgrades is part of the loop. Taking time to clear rooms, loot, and find optimal bodies to possess pushes run times toward the hour mark, while unlocking new starting upgrades and getting a feel for different spirits can significantly speed up progression.
Controller Support
Rogue Spirit features Full Controller Support for Xbox Controllers.
Good If You Like…
Dead Cells and Rogue Legacy both share that same procedurally generated, character-switching action roguelite feel. Hades is also worth a look if Rogue Spirit’s mix of combat and mythology-flavoured storytelling appeals to you.
