Tiny robot, Eclipse, wakes up alone in an abandoned factory, surrounded by corrupted training bots and secrets tied to ancient cosmic dragons. Reaching the top of the tower means transforming again and again, swapping an entire arsenal on the fly whenever the situation demands it.

Dracomaton is a top-down roguelike bullet hell from developer Gun Jumpers. Equipping different Forms, each with its own strengths and weaknesses, and modding them with traits borrowed from others, you’ll stack items, builds, and Chaos effects into increasingly wild combinations, fighting through corrupted bots and tough bosses on the way to uncovering the factory’s secrets.

What Makes It Different?

  • Swap between 16 unique Forms, each with distinct strengths and weaknesses
  • Mod existing Forms with traits borrowed from up to 3 other Forms
  • Collect over 30 build-influencing items, including game-changing Chaos items
  • Face down 3 tough bosses, including the notorious Reggie the Run-killer
  • Stack Forms, Items, and Mods until the screen fills with bullets
  • Uncover secrets about the factory, the dragons, and the world beyond
  • Play with simple mouse-and-keyboard controls or full controller support

Sixteen Forms, Endless Combinations

Choosing a Form in Dracomaton is only the starting point. Modding it with characteristics pulled from other Forms opens up genuinely strange hybrid builds, letting a playstyle be reshaped mid-run rather than locked in from the start. Combined with over 30 build-influencing items, several of which are outright chaotic in what they do to a run, no two attempts at the tower ever feel quite the same.

A Factory Full of Secrets

Beyond the bullet hell chaos, Dracomaton hides a genuine mystery in its corridors. Corrupted training bots guard the path upward, but the deeper the climb goes, the more the factory reveals about the cosmic dragons tied to its creation. With 3 tough bosses standing between Eclipse and the truth, reaching the top takes both a solid build and a fair bit of persistence.

How Long Does a Run Take?

A standard, successful playthrough of the main story lasts about 30 to 40 minutes. For a full run with extras or all achievements, the average runtime is between 4 to 9 hours, as it’s a roguelike that encourages multiple attempts. Finishing the main boss typically takes about 30 to 40 minutes, while the average player takes closer to 1.5 hours to see the main story through. Main story plus extras runs around 6 hours, and full completion sits around 9 hours.

Controller Support

Dracomaton features Full Controller Support for Xbox Controllers and PlayStation Controllers.

Good If You Like…

If you enjoyed Enter the Gungeon, Downwell, or Katanaut, Dracomaton’s mix of bullet hell chaos and shape-shifting builds should feel right at home.
