Game Details
Defend the Rook is a tactics roguelike that combines grid-based combat with tower-defense elements. Players defeat invading hordes by positioning heroes and building towers on a chessboard-like battlefield to survive and protect the land. The combo adds more tactical depth than a typical tower-defense game, with the added challenge of managing both units and structures. Players upgrade their roster and options across runs. Its board-game presentation and hybrid design give it a distinctive feel. Defending the board against escalating waves is the core goal.
