The village is safe for now, but it never stays that way for long. Every expedition beyond its walls is a race through floating islands filled with deadly machines, where surviving means moving quickly, striking even faster, and knowing when it’s time to risk another fight instead of heading home. The further you make it, the more you’ll uncover about the world waiting beyond the Vortex.
Windblown is a fast-paced action roguelite from the creators of Dead Cells. Playing as one of the Leapers, you’ll dash through procedurally generated biomes, battle powerful enemies, collect increasingly powerful weapons and Gifts, and absorb the memories of fallen warriors to strengthen future runs. Whether playing solo or cooperatively, every expedition offers another chance to push further into the Vortex.
What Makes It Different?
- Battle through procedurally generated floating islands
- Switch seamlessly between multiple weapons during combat
- Collect Gifts that shape every run differently
- Absorb the memories of fallen Leapers to unlock new possibilities
- Face challenging bosses guarding the path forward
- Play solo or in online co-op with up to three players
- Unlock permanent progression between expeditions
Speed Is Your Greatest Weapon
Standing still rarely ends well. Windblown is built around constant movement, encouraging you to dash through enemy attacks while chaining together fast, aggressive combos with your growing collection of weapons.
Moving quickly is rewarded in more ways than one. Clearing a stage in under five minutes unlocks special time chests, giving skilled players another incentive to keep their momentum going instead of slowing down.
Every Expedition Makes You Stronger
No two runs unfold in quite the same way. The weapons and Gifts you discover gradually shape your build, while the memories left behind by previous Leapers unlock new opportunities for future expeditions.
Even unsuccessful runs contribute to your progress. Every return to the village gives you another chance to prepare before setting out once again.
Built Around Another Run
A successful expedition reveals most of Windblown’s core experience, but there’s always another combination of weapons, Gifts, and routes waiting to be explored. Different builds encourage different playstyles, making it easy to approach each run from a fresh perspective.
Whether you’re chasing faster clears, experimenting with new weapon combinations, or taking on the challenge with friends, each expedition offers another reason to head back into the Vortex.
How Long Does a Run Take?
A successful run in Windblown typically lasts 20 to 45 minutes, although highly skilled players can finish in under 15 minutes. Collecting unlockables and progressing through the game’s meta-progression generally takes 10 to 30 hours.
