There are no resets here, no idle mechanics, and no wasted progress. Every pot smashed and every enemy defeated pushes a run forward for good, and against an evil cult determined to stop that momentum, standing still simply isn’t an option.

Loot Frog is an incremental action bullet hell from developer Clumsy Dog. Smashing pots for loot, dodging chaotic bullet patterns, and unlocking a branching skill tree of over 200 upgrades, you’ll grow stronger with every level cleared, pushing deeper into a dungeon that never asks you to start over.

What Makes It Different?

  • Keep every upgrade permanent, with no resets and no idle mechanics
  • Smash pots and defeat enemies in fully active, hands-on bullet hell combat
  • Progress through 25 handcrafted levels spread across 5 distinct biomes
  • Face new enemy types with distinct behaviors on every level
  • Take down aggressive elites and unique bosses with their own bullet patterns
  • Unlock a branching skill tree with over 200 meaningful upgrades and abilities
  • Build toward survivability, explosive power, or resource efficiency, your call

Every Run Moves You Forward

Loot Frog does away with the usual incremental game loop of resetting progress to grow faster next time. Every upgrade earned sticks around for good, meaning there’s no wasted momentum and no starting from scratch. Combined with genuinely active combat, dodging and making real-time decisions rather than just watching numbers climb, it keeps that classic “just one more run” pull without the downtime typically baked into the genre.

Build a Frog That Fits Your Playstyle

With over 200 upgrades and abilities on offer, Loot Frog leaves plenty of room to specialize. Leaning into survivability, going all in on explosive power, or optimizing for resource efficiency are all valid approaches, and since there’s no single correct path through the skill tree, builds can be shaped entirely around personal preference and pace.

How Long Does a Run Take?

The complete game experience takes approximately 4 to 5 hours to finish. The game features 25 levels spread across 5 biomes with over 200 permanent upgrades. Rather than traditional session-based rogue runs, progression is continuous, with permanent upgrades carrying over as you push deeper into the dungeon. Most players fully complete the entire game’s content in about 5 hours.

Controller Support

Loot Frog features Full Controller Support for Xbox Controllers, DualShock Controllers over USB, and DualSense Controllers.

Good If You Like…

If you enjoyed Vampire Survivors, Everything is Crab, or Blood Dungeon, Loot Frog’s mix of bullet hell combat and steady, permanent progression should be well worth a look. It’s not out yet, but a free demo is already available to try ahead of release.
