Abyssus: Brine Edition is now available as a physical PS5 release, marking the first time the roguelite co-op shooter has shipped on disc. Developed by Silver Lining Interactive, Double Moose, The Arcade Crew, and Dotemu, the package bundles the base game with four cosmetic DLC sets for £29.99/$34.99/€34.99 through Silver Lining Direct and local retailers as of 26 June 2026.
The included DLC collections focus entirely on character customization: Brinehunter adds a Sea-weathered Birdcage Helmet and matching frame, while Brineguard equips players with Juggernaut armor and a Company Loyalty emote. Brinefrost and Brinerot round out the package with arctic and machinery-inspired cosmetics respectively, each featuring unique helmets, suits, frames, and emotes. None of these additions affect core gameplay balance or progression mechanics.
Abyssus itself is a 1-to-4 player FPS built around procedurally sequenced levels drawn from 70+ hand-crafted designs. Players assemble pre-run loadouts from 9 customizable weapons supported by 54 mods, then navigate runs where roguelite meta progression unlocks advancements across multiple playthroughs. The game fields 36 enemy types and 12 bosses, with over 140 Ancient Forge mods and 250 Charms and Blessings available for mid-run synergy crafting.
The game launched on Steam previously and has since expanded to this disc-based PlayStation release, offering physical collectors and console players a self-contained entry point that doesn’t require additional purchases for cosmetics at launch.
