Every night, a plastic army marches across the bedroom floor with one objective: take down Teddy. Your entire defense consists of a wind-up train circling him on a loop of track, but once its wagons are covered in dart blasters, cap guns, spud cannons, and other toy-box weaponry, that little locomotive becomes a surprisingly formidable fortress. Bearicade turns a childhood bedroom into a miniature battlefield where building the right train is the only thing standing between your bear and total defeat.

Your towers never stay in one place. They ride around the track, firing at enemies from constantly changing angles while the locomotive itself rams anything foolish enough to step onto the rails. That movement gives every placement decision an extra layer of importance, especially when each of the 12 wagon colors changes how the tower attached to it behaves. A strong weapon can become even better with the right wagon beneath it, making the structure of your train just as important as the weapons you draft.

How It Plays

In each run, you need to gradually assemble a train capable of handling an army that grows more dangerous with every wave. The shop deals three cards between attacks, forcing you to choose between taking something useful immediately or spending gold on another set of options. Prices increase as the run continues, but so do the chances of finding legendary rewards, giving every reroll a little more tension than the last.

Towers gain experience automatically while fighting and can be repositioned freely, so you’re encouraged to keep adjusting the train as your build develops. Once a tower reaches level five, it branches into one of two permanent evolutions. A basic Cap Gun, for example, can become either a rapid-fire Twin Cap or a slower Magnum built around heavier shots. Those choices quickly give your defense its own identity, especially once wagon effects and synergy bonuses begin interacting with them.

Toy chests add another layer of risk and reward. Each one presents three visible prizes, but you can ignore them and gamble on a mystery item from the chest’s full reward pool instead. Trinkets and manually activated gadgets create even more opportunities to take risks, including equipment that can dramatically strengthen a tower or remove it altogether. Bosses arrive every fifth wave, leading toward a showdown with the General on wave 30. Defeating him unlocks an endless mode where the only goal is keeping the train moving for as long as possible.

How Long Does a Run Take?

A complete campaign in Bearicade spans 30 nights, with a successful run generally lasting 45-90 minutes depending on your drafting decisions, train upgrades, and overall strategy.

Failed runs can be much shorter, often ending within 10-20 minutes if you’re defeated during the early or middle stages, making each attempt a different investment of time.

Controller Support

Bearicade doesn’t currently list controller support, so keyboard and mouse should be considered the primary way to play until official controller compatibility is confirmed.
