CARDED: Groups to Glory
Every nation dreams of glory, but only a handful ever get there. Taking charge of a fictional international squad, you’ll navigate the pressure of qualification, the grind of a group stage, and the chaos of knockout football, all while building a team capable of surviving whatever the tournament throws at it.
CARDED: Groups to Glory is a single player football card roguelite from developer Spartanwilly Studios. Every Nation Tells Its Own Story
Original Mode follows a hand built campaign path inspired by the real journey of international football, complete with preparation matches, qualification pressure, group stage football, and a knockout run toward glory. A powerhouse nation arrives with high expectations and a strong squad to match, while an underdog is a different kind of challenge entirely, built around smart upgrades and finding every possible edge. With up to 48 nations to unlock, each one brings its own starting tactics and identity into the campaign.
Cards, Choices, and Consequences
Every football card in your squad carries attributes like Technique, Vision, Composure, Anticipation, Speed, Flair, Work Rate, and Physical, and developing those cards over a run gradually turns a shaky starting XI into a team built to last. The campaign loop layers decisions on top of that squad building, from handling press questions and team dilemmas to choosing how hard to train between fixtures. Card based rewards earned along the way shape the direction of an entire run, whether that means chasing a disciplined defensive setup, a high pressing side, or a possession heavy team built around your best performers.
Built to Chase Again and Again
No two campaigns settle into the same shape. Because rewards, choices, match results, and squad needs shift from run to run, replayability comes from exploring different builds rather than repeating one perfect path. One campaign might revolve around developing a single star player into a match winner, another might be about dragging a struggling underdog further than anyone expected, and another might come down to finally nailing the right tactical setup for an unpredictable squad. An original curated soundtrack runs underneath all of it, built around the tension and rhythm of an international tournament, from the quiet of preparation through to the pressure of a knockout stage decider.
How Long Does a Run Take?
CARDED: Groups to Glory lasts roughly 40 to 60 minutes, depending on your deck build and how quickly you make your choices. However, if you’re tackling a higher difficulty or newer to the mechanics, runs can stretch upwards of 1 to 2 hours.
