Last Spell Book Launches Today With a Different Idea About Progression

Last Spell Book arrives on Steam today, giving deckbuilder fans more than 300 spells to discover throughout their adventure. Players begin with just six elemental spells, gradually unlocking new magic by experimenting with different combinations as each run unfolds.

Created by developer Rachop Studios, Last Spell Book combines deckbuilding with roguelite progression, encouraging players to continually refine their strategies as they venture through branching routes, events, and increasingly difficult encounters. Every spell discovered opens up fresh possibilities, allowing decks to evolve in countless different directions from one run to the next.

Magic isn’t the only tool at your disposal. Weapons, shields, relics, and Gem Enhancements all play an important role in shaping your build, with more than 100 relics available to collect from chests, elite battles, and random events. Finding the right combination of cards and relics becomes just as important as choosing which path to follow, giving every decision the potential to influence the rest of your run.

As you spend more time with the game, you’ll also become familiar with its routes, encounters, and spell combinations, gradually building a deeper understanding of how everything works together. It’s the kind of progression that naturally rewards experimentation, encouraging players to try new ideas and discover increasingly powerful decks over multiple runs.

Inspired by deckbuilding favorites such as Slay the Spire and Monster Train, Last Spell Book is available now on Steam for players looking to put their spellcraft and strategy to the test.
