Killer Bean Patch v0062 Fixes Death Freeze, First-Person Camera Issues

Killer Bean, the fun and unique action roguelike, has received patch v0062 addressing several stability and control issues that were affecting campaign progression and moment-to-moment gameplay.

The update targets a critical campaign bug in which the death sequence would freeze and prevent respawning, effectively blocking players from continuing their run. The patch also resolves problems with fast dives getting stuck in first-person mode and corrects first-person animations for jumping and diving, which were incorrectly playing the run animation instead.

As well as combat fixes, the developers have set graphics settings to automatically adjust for low-end PCs in an effort to prevent graphics errors on less powerful hardware.

Control handling received attention as well. The patch significantly reduces interference between game controllers and mouse and keyboard input, and prevents the game controller’s B button from interrupting the Map Menu when you’re using mouse and keyboard controls. The patch notes also mention fixes for grenade enemies, which apparently no longer get frozen in battle mode.

Killer Bean remains in early access, with the developer’s roadmap pointing toward online co-op and additional bosses before the game reaches full release. These fixes suggest a steady push toward stability as the project continues.
