Something happened at the Station, and most of humanity has vanished without a trace. Alien invaders have moved in to fill the silence, and reclaiming what’s left means assembling a squad, thinking several steps ahead, and letting the battlefield do a lot of the fighting for you.
Deadlock Station is a tactical rogue-like from developer Luxorix Games, built around indirect control rather than direct commands. Positioning traps, exploiting the environment, and managing a squad of distinct characters, you’ll uncover the truth behind the mysterious Event while battling waves of alien invaders across the ruins of the Station.
What Makes It Different?
- Turn the battlefield itself into a weapon through indirect control
- Construct spike walls, bait enemies into traps, and push foes onto hazards
- Master 10 distinct characters, each bringing unique tools into a squad
- Deploy exotic tech like Energy Shields and Time Weapons
- Experiment endlessly with squad compositions and ability combinations
- Discover overpowered synergies through evolving strategies each run
- Expand a persistent Station base with quests, weapons, gear, and abilities
Plan the Fight, Don’t Fight the Plan
Deadlock Station’s characters move and act largely on their own, putting the real challenge on setting up the battlefield ahead of time rather than reacting in the moment. Constructing spike walls, luring enemies toward hazards or landmines, and using positioning to control how a fight unfolds all matter far more than direct combat commands. Victory comes down to clever planning and exploiting every advantage available, fair or otherwise, before a single shot is fired.
Squad Building Without Limits
With 10 distinct characters to mix and match, no two squads need to approach the Station’s threats the same way. Exotic technology like Energy Shields and Time Weapons opens up unusual tactical options, and since every battle throws a different combination of enemies, environments, and equipment into the mix, discovering a genuinely overpowered synergy is always just one more run away. Successful runs and Station upgrades feed straight back into new quests, weapons, gear, and abilities, giving future squads even more to work with.
How Long Does a Run Take?
A single run typically takes about 30 to 60 minutes, depending on pace, how far you progress, and the difficulty chosen. A single cycle or attempt at clearing the infested areas takes roughly 30 to 45 minutes from start to finish, while successfully pushing deeper into the Station and clearing consecutive areas can bring a full run closer to an hour. Losing your heroes early in the first area can end a run in as little as 10 to 15 minutes.

Good If You Like…
If you enjoyed Into the Breach, Dead Weight, or Convoy, Deadlock Station’s mix of tactical planning and roguelike structure should be well worth a look. Its indirect control system gives it a genuinely different feel from most tactics games in the genre.
