Apocalypse Party
The apocalypse has arrived, and this time it’s every survivor for themselves. Time travel, catastrophe, and a fight to save what’s left of the world collide in a Middle Ages setting overrun with hordes of enemies, and surviving means mastering your build before the horde masters you.
Apocalypse Party is a 3D top-down action roguelike from developer Breaker Games. Choosing from a wall of unique characters, mowing down endless waves of enemies, and gradually mastering abilities and weapons through numerous choices, you’ll fight to become the strongest survivor, whether facing the catastrophe alone or teaming up with friends.
What Makes It Different?
- Choose from 40 characters, each carrying 3 different passive skills
- Master a build from over 570 talents, most of which change how you play
- Wield more than 60 different weapons, each with its own unique feel
- Unleash 20+ imaginative ultimate skills, from summoning bombers to transforming into a mountain giant
- Push endlessly in Infinite Dungeon mode, where stats can inflate without limit
- Race the clock in the ultra-difficult Hell Mode and climb the leaderboards
- Team up with up to 3 players in online co-op, or take on the apocalypse solo
Build Something Ridiculous
With 570 talents and 60 weapons to work with, Apocalypse Party leans hard into letting builds spiral into the absurd. Whether that means becoming the Dragon Mother soaring on dragonback, a Beastmaster shifting into a wolf mid-fight, or a Bard who somehow turns the whole encounter into a rhythm game, the sheer number of characters and skills means almost every run can lean into a completely different fantasy.
Push Further, Push Longer
Beyond the standard survival loop, Infinite Dungeon mode strips away the usual limits entirely, letting players purchase blessings, weapons, forging, talent packs, consumables, and even place bets from the shop as stats climb without a ceiling. Hell Mode flips that philosophy on its head, offering an ultra-difficult, speedrun-focused challenge for players chasing a spot on the leaderboards instead of an endless power fantasy.
How Long Does a Run Take?
An average successful run typically lasts between 25 to 45 minutes. Pace is generally dictated by chapter, build, and movement speed, but most sessions rarely cross the 1-hour mark unless playing an extended endless mode. Standard gameplay usually runs 20 to 30 minutes of hack-and-slash or twin-stick survival combat, fast, optimized runs or short chapters can be finished in 15 to 20 minutes, and pushing further in endless mode can stretch playtime to 45 minutes or 1.5+ hours, though difficulty scaling makes runs over an hour genuinely challenging.
Controller Support
Apocalypse Party features Full Controller Support for Xbox Controllers.
Good If You Like…
20 Minutes Till Dawn and Vampire Survivors both share that same horde-clearing, build-snowballing energy. Maniac is also worth a look if Apocalypse Party’s chaotic, over-the-top combat is what’s drawing you in.
