Cultivating immortality was never going to be a peaceful process. Standing between an aspiring cultivator and true power are endless waves of monsters, and surviving them means raising a realm, wielding ancient magic treasures, and letting automated attacks do the fighting while focus stays on positioning.

Infinite Tao is a bullet heaven roguelike rooted in Chinese xianxia mythology from an independent developer. Moving through swarms of enemies with simple WASD controls, combining magic treasures into powerful combinations, and raising a personal realm as strength grows, you’ll push to survive the full 30-minute onslaught and edge closer to immortality.

What Makes It Different?

  • Fight with automated attacks, freeing up focus for pure movement and positioning
  • Raise a personal realm that grows stronger alongside your cultivator
  • Combine magic treasures into powerful, build-defining synergies
  • Survive escalating waves of monsters drawn from Chinese mythology
  • Push through a tightly structured, time-based survival challenge
  • Discover new combinations of treasures and abilities across repeated runs
  • Immerse yourself in a xianxia-inspired world of immortal cultivation

Movement Is the Whole Game

With attacks handled automatically, Infinite Tao puts nearly all of its challenge into positioning. Weaving through swarms of monsters using simple WASD controls demands constant attention, since standing in the wrong spot for even a moment can be fatal against an escalating tide of enemies. That stripped-back control scheme keeps the core loop easy to pick up, while still demanding real focus to survive the full run.

Raise a Realm, Combine Treasures

Beyond pure survival, growth comes from raising a personal realm and combining magic treasures into synergistic combinations. Finding the right pairing of treasures can turn a struggling run into a comfortable one, and experimenting with different combinations across attempts is a big part of what keeps pushing toward that full 30-minute clear worthwhile.

How Long Does a Run Take?

The average run time of a complete successful match is 30 minutes. A single full session requires holding out against waves of monsters for exactly 30 minutes. The game utilizes automated attacks, allowing focus to stay on moving via WASD controls, raising your realm, and combining magic treasures. Runs can end significantly sooner if a character is overwhelmed and defeated before reaching the 30-minute mark.

Controller Support

Infinite Tao features Full Controller Support for Xbox Controllers. Support for other devices is not known.

Good If You Like…

If you enjoyed Boneraiser Minions, Skelly Selest, or Army of Ruin, Infinite Tao’s mix of bullet heaven combat and mythology-inspired progression should be well worth a look.
