Ziggurat 2
Evil lurks in the depths, and it’s up to the most powerful magic order to stop it. As a member of the Brotherhood, protecting humanity means diving into randomly generated dungeons, facing hordes of enemies and fearsome Guardians, and coming back to the Citadel stronger than before.
Ziggurat 2 is a fast-paced, roguelite FPS from developer Milkstone Studios, and a full-fledged sequel to the original Ziggurat. Wielding powerful weapons and spells, tracking elemental resistances and vulnerabilities, and recruiting allies back at the Citadel, you’ll level up, unlock new equipment, and push deeper into ever-changing dungeons on every mission.
What Makes It Different?
- Battle hordes of enemies and fearsome Guardians in dynamic, elemental combat
- Track resistances and vulnerabilities to maximize your efficiency in every fight
- Explore randomly generated dungeons packed with more verticality and variety
- Take on quicker, more compact rooms built for faster fights and easier exploration
- Return to the Citadel to recruit allies and improve your equipment and skills
- Unlock dozens of weapons, each with its own unique nature and behavior
- Level up and learn useful perks that carry you closer to the end of the dungeon
Precision Over Panic
Ziggurat 2 demands constant movement, and mistakes are paid dearly. Dexterity, sharp reflexes, and careful resource management are all essential to surviving what’s hiding in the dungeon’s shadows, and tracking enemy elemental resistances and vulnerabilities adds a genuine layer of strategy on top of the fast-paced shooting. Coming back safe and sound depends as much on smart play as it does on quick trigger fingers.
A Citadel Worth Returning To
Between missions, the Citadel serves as a home base for recruiting new and old allies, upgrading equipment, and deciding what to tackle next. With dozens of unlockable weapons each behaving differently, preparation before heading back into the dungeon can be the difference between an overwhelming victory and a bitter defeat, and no two trips through Ziggurat 2’s randomly generated dungeons ever feel quite the same.
How Long Does a Run Take?
An average campaign run typically lasts between 30 to 60 minutes depending on playstyle and combat speed. The total time to beat the game overall varies significantly depending on your goals, with the main campaign taking roughly 16 to 18 hours to complete all missions, main story plus extras taking about 26 to 27 hours, and a full 100% completionist run pushing closer to 55 hours to unlock everything on offer.
Controller Support
Ziggurat 2 features Full Controller Support for Xbox Controllers and PlayStation Controllers.
Good If You Like…
Ziggurat is the obvious place to start if this sequel has you hooked, offering more of that same dungeon-crawling FPS foundation. Post Void and ROBOBEAT are also worth a look if Ziggurat 2’s fast-paced, first-person roguelite combat is what’s drawing you in.
