The clock is already ticking, and there’s no stopping it. Five minutes stand between you and death in a warped, liminal nightmare crawling with corrupted entities, and the only way to buy more time is to keep the bodies dropping.

ODDCORE is a fast-paced, retro FPS roguelike from developer ODDCORP. Racing against a relentless countdown, you’ll blast through hordes of corrupted entities with a growing arsenal of weapons and gadgets, collect souls to earn extra seconds, and stack up items and cassette tapes that reshape each run before the timer finally runs out.

What Makes It Different?

  • Race against a strict countdown that never lasts more than 5 minutes
  • Collect souls from fallen enemies to buy yourself extra time
  • Wield 13 unique weapons alongside 10 specialized gadgets
  • Stack over 140 items to reshape your build on the fly
  • Explore more than 100 variants and face down 35+ distinct entities
  • Battle through 12 unique boss encounters
  • Swap in 13 soundtrack cassettes, or import your own music to generate a custom one with randomized stats

Every Second Is Borrowed Time

ODDCORE never lets you forget the clock is running. Souls collected from defeated enemies are the only thing standing between you and the timer hitting zero, turning every fight into a gamble over whether it’s worth pushing forward for more loot or falling back to survive. That constant pressure keeps runs tight and fast, with nothing about ODDCORE built for slow, cautious play.

Your Playlist Is a Build Mechanic

Few roguelikes let a player’s own music library shape combat, but ODDCORE does exactly that. Each of the 13 included soundtrack cassettes carries its own effect on a run, and importing personal music generates a custom cassette with randomized stats attached, turning a favorite playlist into a genuine gameplay variable. Combined with 140+ stackable items and 100+ variants to explore, no two dives into the liminal nightmare play out quite the same way.

How Long Does a Run Take?

An average individual run is strictly limited to 5 minutes. Players must race against this countdown, using collected souls to buy more time. If you’re wondering about the total time to beat the game, the full campaign or story mode takes an average of 6 to 7 hours to complete.

Controller Support

ODDCORE features Full Controller Support for Xbox Controllers.

Good If You Like…

ROBOBEAT and Post Void both bring that same fast, retro FPS roguelike intensity to the table. Ziggurat is also worth a look if ODDCORE’s frantic, arcade-style shooting is what’s calling to you.
