Quasimorph
Space has been privatized, corporations have pushed their claws past the Solar System, and something terrible is closing in. Taking contracts as a hardened PMC fighter means profiting off the apocalypse itself, one brutal, unforgiving mission at a time.
Quasimorph is a high-stakes roguelike from developer Magnum Scriptum, combining cyberpunk, cosmic body horror, and turn-based tactical combat. Completing corporate contracts, augmenting mercenaries with cybernetic implants, and exploring planetary bases and derelict starships, you’ll keep everything successfully extracted, print a new mercenary when one inevitably dies, and try the contract again.
What Makes It Different?
- Complete corporate contracts and keep everything successfully extracted
- Lose it all on death, then print a new mercenary and try again
- Turn mercenaries into augmented weapons with cybernetic implants and body mods
- Explore planetary bases, secret laboratories, and wrecked starships
- Choose from dozens of classes and unique mercenaries to build a squad
- Experiment with hundreds of weapons, armor pieces, and unique gadgets
- Upgrade a flagship using technologies and resources recovered on missions
Nobody Cares About a Clone
Death in Quasimorph carries real weight, stripping away every piece of gear a mercenary was carrying the moment they fall. That loss doesn’t end the story, though, since printing a fresh clone and rethinking an approach is always an option. With hundreds of weapons and armor pieces, a deep augmentation system, and dozens of classes to experiment with, no two attempts at the same contract need to go the same way.
Corporate Profit, Cosmic Horror
Beneath the mercenary contracts and turn-based tactics sits a much darker mystery. Corporations hiring ruthless PMCs to carry out shadow operations slowly uncover unforgivable things humanity has done in the depths of space, with demons twisting human nature along the way. Assembling a competent team, counting every bullet, and maintaining gear carefully becomes essential to surviving each grotesque turn the story takes.
How Long Does a Run Take?
An average individual mission run takes about 45 to 90 minutes to complete. The exact time depends heavily on playstyle, mission goals, and the difficulty of the location. Short runs of 45 to 60 minutes happen when focusing on an easy, low-floor mission, rushing through the primary objective, and finding the extraction elevator quickly. Longer runs of 60 to 90 minutes or more occur in deeper, multi-floor missions where large, sprawling maps need to be searched for stairs or an elevator, and can stretch even further when stopping to explore every room, loot heavily, or getting bogged down in brutal combat.
Controller Support
Quasimorph features Full Controller Support for Xbox Controllers, DualShock Controllers over USB, and DualSense Controllers over USB.
Good If You Like…
If you enjoyed Stoneshard, Lootbound, or Dead Weight, Quasimorph’s mix of tactical combat and high-stakes extraction should be well worth a look.
