Cult of Shadows
Bel Noa hides secrets that were never meant to surface, and the cultists guarding them won’t give them up easily. Fighting through hordes of fanatics and the Mythos they summon, dying is only ever the start of the next attempt, not the end of the fight.
Cult of Shadows is a dynamic action roguelite from developer Many sp. z o.o., blending hack and slash combat with skill based roguelite progression. Facing down swarms of enemies and monstrous beasts, you’ll strengthen your character’s attributes and skills, collect and upgrade items ranging from common to cursed, and unlock new heroes to try out fresh builds as you push deeper into Bel Noa’s dark arenas and dungeons.

- Fight large numbers of enemies simultaneously in fast, skill driven combat
- Face down mighty beasts summoned by the Cult’s fanatical followers
- Improve your character’s attributes and skills as you progress
- Collect common, magical, blessed, cursed, and unique items
- Upgrade your gear to keep pace with tougher threats
- Battle through dark arenas and procedurally generated dungeons
- Unlock 4 playable characters, each bringing their own unique skills
Learn the Cult, Then Break It
Every enemy in Cult of Shadows has patterns worth learning, and reading those behaviors is as important as raw combat skill. Cultists and the Mythos they summon don’t fight the same way twice in a row, and adapting to what’s in front of you, rather than relying on muscle memory alone, is what separates a short attempt from a run that actually makes progress. The game leans firmly into being a challenging test of player skill, and every death teaches something useful for the next attempt.
Build Your Hero, Then Build Again
With 4 playable characters to unlock, each carrying their own unique skills, Cult of Shadows encourages experimenting with different approaches across multiple runs. Items collected along the way, whether common, magical, blessed, cursed, or fully unique, add another layer of variation, and upgrading that gear over time lets a character’s strengths grow alongside the threats they’re facing. Three unique levels and three procedurally generated dungeons give every attempt a slightly different shape to work through, keeping builds and strategies from ever feeling completely settled.
How Long Does a Run Take?
The average run length in Cult of Shadows typically lasts between 20 and 45 minutes depending on your build, pace, and progression level. The game features three main procedural dungeons, and a successful full clear usually sits near the upper end of that time frame. Because Cult of Shadows is an indie roguelite built on incremental progression rather than a massive campaign, individual play sessions are designed to be relatively compact.
