Your Favorite Weapon-Wielding Potato Just Got A Mobile Update

You’d think surviving wave after wave of aliens with six weapons strapped to a potato would be enough to keep anyone busy but apparently not. Brotato’s latest mobile update has arrived with new progression systems, fresh challenges, and more reasons to squeeze in “just one more run.”

The headline addition is Potato Road, introducing a new set of challenges for players to tackle, alongside Hero Upgrades that now carry progression into Classic Mode. Hero Bonds also join the fray, rewarding players for unlocking heroes from matching groups with permanent buffs that encourage experimenting with different playstyles instead of relying on the same familiar builds.

The update doesn’t stop there. Characters have received refreshed artwork alongside permanent stat boosts, giving players another incentive to expand their roster and revisit heroes they may have overlooked. Altogether, it feels less like a routine patch and more like another meaningful step forward for the mobile version.

At its heart, Brotato is still the wonderfully frantic arena roguelite that made wielding six weapons as a potato feel strangely normal. You’re surviving waves that last little more than a minute, piecing together increasingly ridiculous builds, and somehow turning vegetables into unstoppable alien-fighting machines. The new progression systems simply make every return to the arena feel a little more rewarding than the last.

For anyone already blasting their way through Brotato on mobile, there’s never been a better excuse to jump back in. And if you’ve somehow managed to avoid one of the genre’s biggest breakout hits until now, this update makes a compelling case for finally seeing what all the fuss is about.
