The roguelike genre has a durability problem. Most games enjoy a honeymoon period before players extract all the dopamine and move on. Vampire Survivors, though, refuses to be forgotten.
Poncle has announced Vampire Survivors: Legacy of the Bloodmoon, a new summer expansion for the ever-growing roguelite hit.
The expansion isn’t arriving alone. Poncle has also released Update 1.15, bringing a collection of quality improvements including multiple save slots, performance enhancements, and stability fixes. They’re the sort of additions players tend to appreciate long after the excitement of new content wears off.
The announcement also mentions a new Poncle team launching in Japan, which hints at ambitions beyond maintaining a cult hit. Vampire Survivors has become too valuable a property to treat as passion project anymore.
If you’ve been waiting for a reason to return or finally jump in, celebrate the launch of Legacy of the Bloodmoon alongside the Wet update this summer.
