Leaf Us Alone Just Sprouted on Steam, and It’s Got a Chip on Its Shoulder

A magical forest under siege, an army that refuses to stay where you put it, and a name that makes you do a double take… Leaf Us Alone, the debut project from Second Win Games, has just been listed on Steam with a planned release window of 2026.

The game drops you into a magical forest getting chewed up by the Voidlings, a horde with an appetite for consuming the entire world. Your job is to build an army of “cute yet powerful creatures”. It’s a turn-based, deckbuilding roguelite, which is a genre with no shortage of entries these days, so it needs a hook if it’s going to stand out. Turns out it’s got one.

Your Army Doesn’t Listen to You (At First)

In Leaf Us Alone you don’t get to place your units. Instead your squad lands wherever the chaos of war decides to drop them. No neat formations or safety net. You’re handed a mess and told to make it work using commands and unit abilities on the fly. It’s less “grand strategist” and more “somebody just handed you a burning building and a bucket.”

That utter chaos is where the fun combos come in. Chain the right abilities together and you can turn a scattered mess into a frontline that actually holds, and you’ll need it, because the Voidlings don’t stay dead. Beat them back and they just… come back. The only way to actually stop the bleeding is to hunt down their commander before the whole horde overwhelms the World Tree faster than it can heal.

The replayability looks good too. You’ll mix and match any two of five playable factions before a run even starts, which is already a lot of team comps to mess around with. Stack on top of that:

  • 100+ unique units to hunt down and combo
  • 80+ relics and spells to bend your build around
  • Difficulty that ramps as you go, so mastery actually gets rewarded
  • Turn-based hex-grid combat for the tacticians in the room

Given how fresh this listing is, plenty of details are still under wraps. There’s no confirmed release date beyond 2026, no pricing, and no word yet on platforms beyond PC. Steam itself is still “learning about” the game, and with no user reviews yet, it’s very much a title to watch rather than judge just yet. However, you can play a demo version over on Itch.
