GunBang Launches Today, and the Audience Expects a Bloodbath

Apparently, surviving hundreds of enemies isn’t enough anymore. Newly launched GunBang also expects you to impress an audience while you’re doing it.

Launching on Steam today, GunBang is the debut title from 4Tins Studios, throwing players into a frantic top-down arena shooter roguelite where bigger combos, higher scores, and increasingly ridiculous builds are all part of the performance. If you’ve been waiting to jump in, the audience has officially taken their seats.

The Crowd Expects More Than Survival

In GunBang, staying alive is only the beginning. Every run drops you into an arena packed with growing enemy hordes, but simply making it to the next wave won’t earn much applause. The mysterious observers watching the action care just as much about how you fight as whether you survive, rewarding players who can keep their combos rolling, rack up impressive scores, and earn the money needed to strengthen their powers. The pressure doesn’t come from a timer or a shrinking arena. It comes from knowing there’s always a better performance to put on.

Every Upgrade Changes the Show

Of course, no arena shooter is complete without an ever-growing collection of increasingly dangerous toys.

As enemies fall, you’ll gain access to new weapons, passive traits, and items that gradually transform each run into something very different from where it started. One build might encourage relentless aggression, while another leans into survivability or overwhelming firepower. Half the fun comes from discovering combinations you weren’t planning to build until the game handed you the pieces.

That constant evolution gives every run its own identity. The weapon that carries you through one attempt might barely feature in the next, replaced by a completely different combination that changes how you approach every fight.

Bosses Don’t Care About Your High Score

Eventually, somebody arrives to stop the show. Boss fights serve as the biggest tests of everything you’ve assembled, demanding that your build can do more than clear ordinary enemy waves. You’ll need enough damage to bring them down, enough mobility to avoid their attacks, and enough composure to keep the run alive when the arena becomes considerably less forgiving.

Fortunately, every victory pushes you closer to an even stronger build. Every defeat teaches you a little more about what works, what doesn’t, and which upgrades deserve another chance the next time you step into the arena.

GunBang Arrives Today

GunBang launches today with Steam Cloud support, the developer is working on Steam Deck compatibility, and there’s more than 100 Steam Achievements for players looking to master every corner of the game.

Arena shooters have always been good at making you feel outnumbered. GunBang adds one extra complication by making every battle feel like a performance. The enemies are trying to end your run, the audience expects something worth watching, and somehow you’re supposed to keep everyone entertained while doing both. Are you up for the challenge?
