Hollow Mine lets you tear through the dungeon rather than simply follow the route it gives you. Walls can be mined away to uncover resources, open escape tunnels, or create a new angle on a group of enemies. Bombs can reshape rooms in seconds, while mining carts can be sent hurtling towards anything unfortunate enough to be standing in their path. The environment is part of your arsenal, turning each procedurally generated mine into something you can dismantle and redirect as the run unfolds.
Those destructive tools sit alongside fast top-down combat spread across five biomes and more than 90 generated rooms. Melee weapons, ranged attacks, and magic all offer different ways to fight, while a quick dash gives you the movement needed to slip through bullet-hell patterns. With ten bosses, more than 250 discoverable items, and secrets scattered throughout the mines, every descent offers plenty of reasons to explore beyond the most obvious path.

How It Plays
Each run is split between fighting, exploring, and deciding what to do with everything you uncover. Ores mined from the walls and trinkets looted from chests can be used to craft stronger weapons, while new abilities gradually define how your character handles the dangers ahead. You might build around close-range attacks, keep enemies at a distance with ranged weapons, or rely on spells and magical equipment. With more than 100 abilities available, a promising run can quickly develop in an unexpected direction.
The mine itself gives you options whenever a direct fight looks too dangerous. You can dig around an obstacle, open another route, place bombs to alter the battlefield, or use nearby carts against the enemies occupying a room. Exploration also leads to shops, NPC encounters, secrets, lore, and useful items that can be stored in a personal chest back at the hideout.
Progress continues after defeat through achievements that expand the available item pool and unlock additional classes. Thirteen classes are currently available, each arriving with its own equipment and ability, giving subsequent runs more than a statistical change. As your collection grows, tougher expeditions and further endgame unlocks provide new reasons to return to the mine and see how much more of it you can break apart.
Good If You Like…
If you enjoy Noita, UnderMine, Caveblazers, Heroes of Hammerwatch, or roguelites where exploration and environmental destruction matter as much as combat, Hollow Mine is worth digging into.
