Every hand is a little bit of magic here. Scoring with poker hands, stacking Jokers into wild multipliers, and blowing past each blind by increasingly absurd margins, the only trick that matters is the one built from scratch, one run at a time.
Bagatto is a pixel-art poker roguelike from developer Meridian Studios, drawing heavy inspiration from Balatro. Playing pairs, flushes, and full houses to score Chips, multiplying them with over 100 Jokers, and warping an entire deck with Tarot, Planet, and Spectral cards, you’ll cash out, hit the shop, and build a bigger engine before diving straight back in.
What Makes It Different?
- Score with classic poker hands, from Pairs to Full Houses and secret combinations
- Stack over 100 Jokers into wild, synergistic multiplier effects
- Enhance, seal, and edition cards to reshape a deck’s entire identity
- Warp strategy further with Tarot, Planet, and Spectral cards
- Face Cunning Boss Blinds that bend the rules, debuff suits, or tax every card played
- Push through escalating Stakes and fresh decks long after a first win
- Chase impossible numbers in Endless Mode after clearing Ante 8
Bend the Math in Your Favor
Bagatto’s gameplay revolves around turning modest poker hands into absurd scoring engines. Jokers stack together to push +Mult effects into full-blown ×Mult territory, and enhancing, sealing, or applying editions to individual cards adds another layer of customization on top of that. Tarot, Planet, and Spectral cards go even further, letting an entire deck be reshaped around whatever wild combination starts to click.
Bosses That Don’t Play Fair
Standard blinds are one thing, but Cunning Boss Blinds actively work against a build. Debuffing specific suits, sidelining a key Joker, or taxing every card played all force real adaptation mid-run, and figuring out how to route around a boss’s specific rule-bending is often the difference between a strong ante and a bust. Fresh decks and steeper Stakes keep that challenge climbing well past a first successful win, and Endless Mode gives dedicated players a reason to keep pushing once Ante 8 is cleared.
How Long Does a Run Take?
An individual run typically lasts between 20 and 40 minutes. Similar to its primary inspiration, Balatro, the exact time depends on pacing, how many menus get opened to review card synergies, and how far a run makes it through the escalating blinds. Short runs of 15 to 20 minutes usually happen with an early game over or a quick breeze through early antes without much rerolling or shopping, while average runs of 20 to 30 minutes cover a typical, successful playthrough spent evaluating Jokers, Tarot cards, and hand multipliers in the shop. Reaching the highest antes or running into complex, time-consuming late-game synergies can stretch a session closer to an hour.

Good If You Like…
If you enjoyed Balatro, CloverPit, or Black Jacket, Bagatto’s mix of poker scoring and roguelike deckbuilding should be well worth a look. It’s openly inspired by Balatro, so the overlap in appeal runs deep.
