Two new official dice sets for Darkest Dungeon are now available through Misty Mountain Gaming, bringing the gothic roguelike’s aesthetic to the tabletop. The Darkest Dungeon team announced the Obsidian Dice Set and Desperation Dice Set, with both now listed on Misty Mountain Gaming’s storefront.
The move extends the reach of Red Hook Studios’ 2016 roguelike beyond digital screens. Darkest Dungeon has spent years accumulating awards and accolades, including multiple Game Informer Best RPG nominations and spots on lists like Rock Paper Shotgun’s 50 Best RPGs of All Time, so physical merchandise that channels the game’s hand-drawn gothic crowquill art style makes strategic sense.
For those unfamiliar, Darkest Dungeon tasks you with recruiting and leading a team of flawed heroes through twisted forests, forgotten warrens, and ruined crypts. The game layers psychological stress onto traditional roguelike systems: you’ll contend with paranoia, masochism, fear, and irrationality alongside combat encounters. With 16 playable hero classes (and counting), character permadeath, and procedurally generated dungeons, the roguelike structure encourages repeated runs across the ancestral estate at the game’s center.
The addition of physical dice sets tailored to the game’s tone suggests ongoing developer engagement with the community well beyond the initial release window. This kind of merchandise integration, while modest in scope, reflects how certain indie successes continue to find new expressions years after launch.
Both dice sets are available now through Misty Mountain Gaming’s collections page.
