Alchemist Autobattler FLASK Launches Demo on Steam

Every great alchemist needs three things: powerful flasks, loyal homunculi, and a healthy disregard for workplace safety. FLASK’s new Steam demo delivers all three, combining roguelike autobattling with deckbuilding, and just enough financial desperation to keep every expedition feeling worthwhile.

Developed by Chop Chop Games and published by Ghost Ship Publishing, FLASK drops players into a dark post-medieval frontier where goblin-infested wastelands double as your workplace. As an ambitious alchemist, you’ll recruit and command a team of homunculus heroes, sending them into battle to harvest monster blood and turn it into profit.

Every run starts with a single companion before growing into a three-member squad, with more than 500 flasks available to shape how each hero plays. A warrior can become an unbreakable tank, a reckless berserker, or a nimble duelist depending on your choices, while matching elemental flasks unlock powerful team-wide bonuses that reward clever experimentation. Throw in items, mutations, and even snacks, and there’s plenty of room to cook up increasingly ridiculous builds.

Combat unfolds automatically, leaving the strategy where many autobattler fans like it most: in the preparation. Building the right team, discovering new synergies, and tweaking your loadout between encounters becomes the real challenge as the monster hordes grow ever more dangerous.

There’s more than PvE on offer, too. FLASK also features asynchronous PvP, letting aspiring alchemists test their creations against other players in the race to become the Grand Alchemist. The Steam demo opens the gates to the Goblin Gate itself, where greedy merchants, terrifying creatures, and a few secrets lurking beneath the surface are waiting to be uncovered. Just don’t be surprised if that search for easy money turns into something much stranger.
