After more than two years of development, Archon Soul finally has a release date. The upcoming rogue-like dice-builder will be available to buy on Steam from July 29th 2026.
The developer recently announced its launch plans alongside a new trailer, giving players a fresh look at a game built around one simple idea, creating ridiculously powerful dice combinations.
Unlike traditional dice-based games where the roll is everything, Archon Soul puts players in control of how their dice are built. Each die consists of a body, a face, and a rune, all of which can be customized throughout a run. With more than 30 dice bodies and 40 runes available, the developer estimates there are over 65,000 possible combinations for a single die.
The goal is to use those combinations to create powerful synergies rather than relying purely on luck. Players will choose from three playable mages. These include the Gaiamancer, Pyromancer, and Thaumancer, with a secret fourth character waiting to be unlocked. Across all characters, more than 200 spells can be discovered and combined into increasingly elaborate builds.
The adventure unfolds across four acts within the Archon’s palace, featuring branching paths, random events, unique enemies, and the familiar risk-versus-reward decisions roguelite fans know well. The difference is that every run revolves around refining and improving a collection of custom-built dice.
After two years of development, players won’t have to wait much longer to find out whether 65,000 possible dice combinations can produce the kind of build variety Archon Soul is promising.
