ADOM’s Official Website Goes Offline, but the Classic Roguelike Lives On

One of the most influential roguelikes ever made has temporarily lost its online home. The official ADOM (Ancient Domains of Mystery) website, adom.de, is currently unavailable, leaving visitors with a Cloudflare error and prompting questions from longtime fans about the future of the site.

Thankfully, the game itself hasn’t gone anywhere. Players can still purchase and play ADOM on Steam, where the modern release includes Steam achievements, multiple game modes, difficulty options, and ongoing access to the classic dungeon-crawling experience that has been challenging players for more than three decades.

The outage arrives several months after creator Thomas Biskup confirmed in December 2025 that active development on Ultimate ADOM had come to an end. However, there will be a new version of ADOM in 2026-2027. The game continues to attract thousands of players who return for its uncompromising difficulty, enormous world, and countless ways for an adventure to come to an abrupt end.

At the time of writing, there’s been no official statement explaining why the website is unavailable or whether the outage is temporary. For now, there’s no indication that ADOM itself is at risk. While its original website may have gone dark, one of the genre’s defining classics is still very much alive, and players can continue exploring the Drakalor Chain through Steam while they wait for further news.
