Felicity Demo Gets Major Overhaul Based on Player Feedback

The demo launched on May 4th, and a substantial update has already rolled out, introducing trait selection systems and a significantly overhauled tutorial that actually explains what you’re doing.

The visual presentation got a polish, the core gameplay loop is now deeper, and most importantly, you can now pick Traits at key life stages. This decision tree approach lets you shape your strategy and build your deck in ways the original demo didn’t allow. That’s a meaningful systemic expansion based on what players actually wanted.

The developer admits balance work is ongoing, but there’s already a substantial amount of content worth experimenting with. For a deck-building roguelike, this kind of responsive iteration matters. Tutorial improvements especially signal someone who understands that even niche genre players need a functional on-ramp.

You’re looking at a project that’s clearly in conversation with its audience rather than dictating from on high. The trait system in particular opens up the kind of thematic flexibility that separates memorable roguelikes from forgettable ones.

The full game is set to launch in the third quarter of 2026. So, is it early access darling or potential sleeper hit? Too soon to call, but the trajectory here is encouraging.
