Seven days is a long time on Steam. New releases arrive, major updates land, and sales come to an end. You’d expect at least a little movement in the charts. However, this week’s leaderboard is remarkably stubborn.
Nine of last week’s top ten games are still here, while the top six haven’t moved an inch. There has been a change in player counts though, which do suggest things may be gradually changing. The huge spikes from last week have started to level out, yet the biggest rogue games are still attracting tens of thousands of players every single day.
As always, these rankings are based on each game’s 24-hour peak concurrent players on SteamDB. They aren’t a measure of review scores or sales, but they do offer one of the clearest snapshots of where players are spending their time right now. If anything, this week’s chart shows that staying in Steam’s top ten can be just as impressive as breaking into it in the first place.

The Top Six Aren’t Going Anywhere
A week ago, it looked like several games were riding the momentum of Steam’s Summer Sale or recent launches. However, if that were purely the case we’d expect to see some changes over the seven day period. That hasn’t happened.
The top six remains completely unchanged, with The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, Slay the Spire 2, Don’t Starve Together, ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN, DAVE THE DIVER, and Brotato all refusing to give up their places.
The Binding of Isaac continues to lead the way by a comfortable margin. Even though last week’s record-breaking Steam Sale surge has started to settle, it’s still attracting well over 130,000 concurrent players every day. That’s an extraordinary number for a game that’s now more than a decade old, and another example of why it remains one of the defining names in the genre.
Slay the Spire 2 Is Still Holding Strong
If there’s one game that deserves a little extra attention this week, it’s Slay the Spire 2.
After launching straight into second place, plenty of players wondered how quickly those numbers would begin to fall. Instead, it’s holding remarkably steady. More than 110,000 people still jumped in over the past 24 hours, comfortably keeping it ahead of every other challenger on Steam.
For a sequel still finding its feet, that’s an impressive place to be. It suggests plenty of players aren’t simply trying it for a weekend before moving on. They’re coming back for another run, experimenting with different builds, and helping cement Slay the Spire 2 as one of Steam’s biggest success stories of 2026.
The Battle Lower Down Is Much Closer
While the top of the chart barely moved, the final few places remain far more competitive.
Lost Castle 2 hangs on to a place in the top ten, while Balatro returns to the list after narrowly missing out last week. The margins down here are much smaller than they are at the top, meaning a successful update, a discount, or even a busy weekend can be enough to shuffle the order around.
That’s one of the reasons these weekly charts are so much fun to follow. The biggest names may have tightened their grip on the podium for now, but the race for the remaining places feels far from settled. It’ll only take one breakout release or surprise update to shake things up all over again.
