Arcane Ascent has officially launched its 1.0 release after an extended development cycle. The deck-building roguelite, which challenges players to climb a procedural tower while battling enemies and absorbing elemental powers, is now live on Steam.
The full version includes 3 playable mages, a deck of 99 distinct cards with individual upgrade paths, and a gem progression system designed to let players customize their approach to each run. Before each ascent, players can craft from 22 cauldron items to shape their strategy. The tower itself spans 6 section bosses that scale with the elemental abilities collected during climbing, and players will face more than 40 different enemy types across 3 difficulty levels.
Development took years and according to the developer, early access feedback and community playtesting proved instrumental to reaching this milestone. The team outlined plans to continue supporting the game with updates after launch, though they describe the 1.0 release as complete and ready. Players interested in the deck-building progression system and procedurally varied runs can now experience the full version without the early access label.
