Escape the Mad Empire is a party-based roguelike dungeon crawler that combines tactical RPG combat with long-term base management. Set in the ruins of a fallen empire, you’ll assemble a group of heroes from 13 distinct classes before venturing into procedurally generated dungeons filled with monsters, powerful loot, and deadly bosses. Between expeditions, you’ll manage your party’s health and sanity while deciding how best to prepare for the next escape attempt.
Every expedition revolves around careful planning, from building a balanced party and equipping powerful gear to deciding which risks are worth taking as you chart your own route through the Empire’s underground labyrinths. Resources gathered during successful runs can be invested into your growing headquarters, unlocking new machines that allow you to recruit heroes, craft equipment, upgrade your party, and prepare for even tougher adventures deeper into the Mad Empire.
