Flinthook is an action-platformer roguelite from Tribute Games in which the player is a space pirate raiding procedurally generated starships for treasure. The signature tool is a grappling hook that lets players zip across rooms, swing past hazards, and yank enemies, paired with a slow-motion ability and a blaster. Each ship is randomly assembled from rooms full of traps, enemies, and loot, with permadeath ending a failed raid. Players unlock perks and upgrades to improve future runs. Its retro pixel art and snappy grappling movement give it a distinctive feel. Hooking and swinging through ships is the core mechanic.
