Shape Shifter: Formations is an action twin-stick shooter with roguelite elements in which the player destroys hordes of geometric enemies solo or with a friend. Players select a ship and combine a wide variety of weapons, abilities, and infinitely stacking upgrades to craft a unique build each run. Its abstract geometric aesthetic sets it apart visually from other survivors-likes. Co-op play lets two players coordinate complementary builds. Endlessly stacking upgrades drives the snowballing power fantasy. Build experimentation is the main draw.
