A single starcraft against endless swarms of cosmic combatants sounds like a losing fight, and most of the time, it is. But every failed expedition leaves something behind, and forging that wreckage into strength is how a lone ship eventually becomes a legend.

Starforged Legacy is a top-down space action roguelite from developer Second Shift Games. Piloting one of 6 customizable starships, you’ll weave through asteroid fields, blast through endless fleets of enemies, and stack over 160 augments and enhancements into game-breaking builds, using resources salvaged from every failed run to grow permanently stronger.

What Makes It Different?

  • Command 6 unique starships spread across frigate, cruiser, and battleship classes
  • Wield 12 core weapon types alongside more than 160 augments and enhancements
  • Evade devastating bombardments using unique movement abilities per ship
  • Navigate a procedurally generated Starmap with 20+ randomly occurring secondary missions
  • Gamble for glory across 30+ dynamic narrative events with real risk and reward
  • Exchange salvaged resources for permanent upgrades through meta-progression
  • Fight your way toward a final showdown with the enemy flagship

Every Failed Run Fuels the Next

Death in Starforged Legacy isn’t a dead end. Battlefield wreckage, recovered data, and alien technologies salvaged from a failed expedition can all be exchanged for permanent enhancements, new starcraft, and other upgrades that carry directly into the next attempt. That constant sense of forward progress means even a short, chaotic run against overwhelming odds still leaves the next pilot a little better equipped.

A Galaxy That Changes Every Time

No two trips through the Starmap look the same. Sectors dotted with gravitational wells, space stations calling for reinforcements, and derelict ships hiding priceless data all shift from expedition to expedition, and completing missions or random secondary objectives along the way earns rewards crucial to survival. Layered on top of more than 160 augments and enhancements, that variety keeps builds and strategies evolving well beyond a first successful run.

How Long Does a Run Take?

Individual combat sector runs typically average around 5 to 15 minutes. A single full expedition or successful standard playthrough usually takes between 30 minutes and an hour.

Controller Support

Starforged Legacy features Partial Controller Support for Xbox Controllers.

Good If You Like…

Vampire Survivors and Apocalypse Party both bring that same swarm-clearing, build-snowballing intensity to the table. Halls of Torment is also worth a look if Starforged Legacy’s escalating bullet heaven chaos is what’s drawing you in.
