The August Rogue Roundup: 27 of the Best Games Launching This Month

Clear some space in your Steam library because August isn’t pulling any punches. From long-awaited indie launches to games that have seemingly appeared out of nowhere, this month’s lineup is packed with roguelikes and roguelites that deserve a spot on your wishlist.

We’ve put together the biggest August roundup you’ll find anywhere, bringing together all of the month’s major releases in one place. Whether you’re hunting for fast-paced FPS roguelites, stylish cyberpunk adventures, strategic deckbuilders, clever dice-based games, action roguelites, co-op horror, or a few wonderfully weird surprises, there’s something here with your name on it.

1. CyberDeck: The Cyberpunk Roguelike Deckbuilder | Aug 1st

Kicking off the month we have CyberDeck: The Cyberpunk Roguelike Deckbuilder launching into Early Access.

The Sprawl is a tower built to keep people at the bottom, and climbing it means choosing an Operator with their own reasons for reaching the top. CyberDeck gives you six characters, each with completely different mechanics and playstyles. GG builds momentum through rapid attacks, El Money manipulates luck, CyberMaster fights through rhythm, Keeper plans ahead, Angel of the Abyss chains combos, and Tinkerer balances unstable builds. With every Operator changing how a run unfolds, CyberDeck turns each climb into a new challenge built around experimentation, strategy, and finding the perfect build.

2. Cyberpunk Inquisitor | Aug 3rd

The city is full of secrets, but finding the truth means knowing which lies to believe. Cyberpunk Inquisitor puts you inside a sprawling megabuilding where every murder investigation is different. Instead of fighting through enemies, you’ll question witnesses, gather evidence, and piece together clues to identify the culprit before corruption consumes the city. Each case is randomly generated, bringing new suspects, locations, and twists with every investigation. By combining traditional detective work with roguelite replayability, Cyberpunk Inquisitor offers a very different kind of challenge where your greatest weapon is your ability to uncover the truth.

3. Soul Scroll | Aug 3rd

Survival takes more than a strong weapon in Soul Scroll. This fantasy action roguelite begins with nothing, asking you to gather resources, build a settlement, and slowly turn a dangerous wilderness into a thriving home.
