If your idea of a good roguelite involves hundreds of monsters, increasingly ridiculous upgrades, and the screen slowly disappearing beneath a sea of enemies, Clubbed Seal might be worth a look. The fantasy survivor-like from Kazakov Studios and Sharkgame has officially launched on Steam today.

Every run begins simply enough. You’ll battle through waves of goblins, skeletons, orcs, and other creatures while collecting gold to improve your character and strengthen your weapon. Before long, though, those small upgrades begin stacking together, turning even the most ordinary attacks into spectacular displays of destruction as enemy numbers continue to climb.
Like many of the best survivor roguelites, the fun comes from experimenting with different builds. No two runs play out quite the same way, and choosing which upgrades to invest in becomes just as important as surviving the increasingly chaotic waves themselves. Elite enemies and bosses regularly interrupt the action, forcing you to adapt before you’re overwhelmed.
Clubbed Seal keeps the formula approachable with simple controls, making it easy to jump straight into the action while still leaving plenty of room to experiment with different upgrade combinations over multiple runs. If you enjoy games where every attempt slowly snowballs into complete mayhem, there’s plenty here to like.
