Flaregate Network Launches With Story Campaign and Roguelike Mode

Planning is just as important as firepower in Flaregate Network, the new sci-fi deckbuilder that has arrived on Steam today. Every mission begins with a chance to carefully plot your next move before fleets collide in real-time space battles.

Every encounter is split into two distinct phases. During the Play Phase, the action pauses while you decide which cards to play, position your fleet, and prepare for what’s coming next. Once you’re ready, the Battle Phase begins and your strategy is put to the test as the fighting unfolds in real time. From that point on, success depends on how well you prepared rather than how quickly you can react.

Building the right fleet is just as important. New cards earned throughout the campaign and roguelike mode allow you to shape your strategy from one run to the next, whether that’s creating a balanced fleet that can respond to almost anything or leaning heavily into a single approach. Learning which weapons work best against different enemy ships also becomes part of the challenge, rewarding players who adapt instead of relying on the same tactics every battle.

Outside of its standalone roguelike mode, Flaregate Network also includes a story campaign following humanity’s expansion through the mysterious flaregate network, where decades of conflict have shaped the galaxy into the battlefield you’ll now inherit.

Whether you’re looking for a story-driven strategy game or a roguelike that rewards careful planning over split-second reflexes, Flaregate Network is available now to play.
