Gear Up Einstein Patch Ramps Up Time-Traveling Chaos With New Divergence System

A recent patch for the strategic upcoming roguelite Gear Up Einstein! has expanded the game’s replayability by introducing more frequent time-traveling twists during runs. The update introduces a feature called “Divergence” that intensifies as you progress through a campaign, according to the developer’s recent announcement.

Gear Up Einstein! tasks players with recruiting historical figures and transforming them into soldiers across time periods like Ancient Egypt and the Italian Renaissance. The roguelite uses a tactical auto-battler structure where you position heroes, equip them with gear, and watch battles unfold automatically. Team synergies matter, and stacking the right character combinations creates devastating effects.

As well as the Divergence system, the patch also refined the new player experience, making it an opportune moment for fresh recruits to jump in. The game supports up to two friends in co-op multiplayer, where you can trade equipment and coordinate builds together.

The demo is available now on Steam and you can keep an eye on development via the developer’s website.
