As a volunteer setting out on one final mission beyond the safety of your settlement, you’ll explore abandoned towns, military outposts, forests, and ruined highways in search of fuel, weapons, medicine, and supplies. Every expedition presents new dangers as you battle infected creatures, scavenge limited resources, and decide how much risk you’re willing to take before the infection finally claims you.
Although each survivor’s story eventually ends, the journey doesn’t. Resources gathered during successful runs can be used to unlock permanent upgrades that benefit those who follow, while new weapons, equipment, and abilities gradually expand your chances of surviving longer.
