Dragon’s Dream Studios has unveiled Shattered Worlds, a fantasy turn-based roguelike centered on an interdimensional catastrophe. Currently available as a demo on Steam, the game focuses on an eldritch entity that is tearing worlds apart, allowing monsters and other creatures to traverse between them. The player’s role is to move through these fractured realities and stop the entity’s destructive work.

The game pairs turn-based combat with strategic decision-making and character building. Players will construct their character around the aspects of gameplay they prefer, pushing through collapsing worlds while encountering characters from different realities. Shattered Worlds combines dungeon-crawling elements with procedural generation, 2D isometric visuals, and a hand-drawn dark fantasy aesthetic. The game also features grid-based movement and appears to be single-player focused.
A demo is available now on the studio’s itch.io page.
Dragon’s Dream Studios hasn’t announced when Shattered Worlds will arrive in full on Steam, but interested players can add the game to their wishlist to receive notification upon launch.
