An open playtest for LightSup! is coming soon, according to the developers, and will be available to everyone. The chaotic couch co-op adventure supports up to four players locally or through Steam Remote Play Together, which means you can grab friends and experience the game’s frantic battles together regardless of distance.
The game revolves around managing light and sanity. The Altar of Light serves as your team’s lifeline, granting a Virtue buff when you stay in its glow while slowly draining sanity and inflicting Fear when you venture into darkness. Each run branches based on collective choices, Your party decides together which Blessings to accept and which Curses to endure, with every decision shaping the entire team’s chances of survival.
Between encounters, you’ll select your path through upgrade rooms, stat boosts, and blessing chambers while battling monster swarms and confronting bosses.
Exact playtest dates haven’t been announced yet, though the developers promise updates soon. If you’re interested in trying it out, you can check the Steam page or follow along on itch.io for word on when the doors open. Your chance to save the Lumineia Kingdom from eternal eclipse is coming, and you won’t have to face it alone.
