Anomaly President Wants You to Win Votes by Day and Fight by Night

Anomaly Agent Game has outlined a dual-life structure for Anomaly President, splitting gameplay between daytime campaign activities and nighttime combat. According to the developers, the team wanted to make the presidential race feel less like pure action and more like a full experience, which led them to add activities that keep you engaged when you’re not fighting. One of these is a gift-throwing mini-game designed to win over voters.

The roguelike structures itself around this candidate-by-day, warrior-by-night split. By day you campaign for votes and manage your team of “Fluffies,” recruits you assign to different departments for campaigning, equipment upgrades, and battle support. By night you transform and take down criminal gangs controlled by the current administration, facing vice president bosses who wield unique anomaly powers that you can acquire through defeat.

You’ll also customize a mobile campaign bus that serves as your base, adding sections to suit your needs as you move through the world. Your weapon choice and the anomaly upgrades you find will shape what kind of warrior you become, whether that’s a swordmaster or something else entirely. Recruitment and team management matter, though. If you don’t care for your Fluffies, they can abandon you or worse.

The game is coming soon to Steam, where the full mechanics breakdown can be found on the store listing. Whether the gift-throwing mini-game and daytime activities will land with players remains to be seen, but the mix of political gameplay and roguelike combat is the angle the developers are betting on.
