Indomitus: Path of Ordeals Arrives Today, And It’s Not Your Typical Deckbuilder

Deckbuilders usually give players as much time as they need to think through every move. Indomitus: Path of Ordeals has other plans. Launching today on Steam, the new strategy game combines deckbuilding with real-time combat, asking players to make split-second decisions while carefully building powerful card synergies on the fly.

Rather than taking turns, battles unfold in real time as enemies advance across the battlefield. Players must decide exactly when to deploy cards, balancing immediate threats with longer-term strategy as every encounter gradually evolves. Mid-fight level-ups introduce random trait upgrades, allowing players to improve attack speed, defense, damage, and other attributes without ever slowing the pace of combat.

Outside of battle, each run follows a procedurally generated Path of Ordeals where players choose their own route through shops, challenging encounters, and unpredictable events. With more than 100 relics, over 30 class-specific cards, and multiple difficulty options ranging from Easy to Hell Mode, every journey offers new opportunities to experiment with different builds.

Visually, Indomitus: Path of Ordeals pairs its strategic gameplay with detailed pixel art spread across six distinct worlds, each introducing new enemies and challenges to overcome. The combination of real-time action and deckbuilding creates a noticeably different rhythm from traditional card battlers, rewarding players who can adapt just as quickly as they can plan.

Whether you’re chasing the perfect relic combination or simply curious to see how real-time deckbuilding feels in practice, Indomitus: Path of Ordeals is available now on Steam.
