The Scroll of Taiwu Reveals What’s Next After Weeks Of Fixing Bugs

For the past few weeks, The Scroll of Taiwu’s developers have been focused on fixing the game. Now they’re finally ready to talk about what’s comes next.

Alongside today’s latest patch, which introduces a host of quality-of-life improvements to the interface, developer ConchShip Games has shared an extensive development roadmap outlining where The Scroll of Taiwu is heading once its current wave of bug fixes is largely complete.

According to the studio, most of the major issues reported by players have now been resolved, allowing the team to shift its attention back toward expanding the game rather than simply repairing it. Future updates will undergo longer testing periods before release, compatibility with community mods will continue to improve, and additional gameplay systems, including planned mechanics such as Dispositions and Chickens, are already in development.

The biggest announcement, however, is an entirely new expansion mode called Xiangshu Incarnation.

Rather than continuing the original storyline, this alternate mode places players in a completely different scenario after Taiwu is dragged into the Abyss by Xiangshu. From there, players will build a new settlement from scratch, recruit or even defect powerful figures, inherit unique abilities, and ultimately decide when they’re ready to challenge the Heavenly Emperor. It’s a dramatic shift from the base campaign and looks set to offer an entirely new way to experience The Scroll of Taiwu’s deep simulation systems.

The developers also confirmed they’re continuing work on customization, promising more options, settings, and gameplay toggles to better support different playstyles as development continues.

Today’s patch hasn’t been forgotten either. The June 29 update delivers a range of interface improvements, including a cleaner shop layout, clearer tooltip information, updated quick-access controls, and a redesigned auto-battle icon, all aimed at making the game’s notoriously dense systems easier to navigate.
